HUMANISM

HUMANISM

“ A humanist non-religous wedding is a personalised
celebration of shared commitment based entirely on the
unique aspects of the relationship of the couple.”

Humanist weddings are legally recognised in Scotland, Jersey, the Republic of Ireland and many other countries around the world.  Although legislation is expected to change very soon in other parts of the UK, at the moment you would need your marriage to be legally recognised in a civil ceremony which can take place at any time before or after your wedding ceremony.  This suits many couples who are legally married outside of the UK and then want to have a wedding ceremony in the UK to share with family and friends.

Because I’m a trained and accredited Humanist UK Celebrant I have professional indemnity and public liability insurance.  In the unlikely event that I’m not able to perform your ceremony, I’m linked via Humanists UK to other trained wedding celebrants who would be briefed to be able to step in.
